Maybe this is paranoid, but should I try to buy a new laptop now rather than waiting until next year to save on potentially increased tariffs? I imagine those will probably take some time to pass?

Counterpoint is I was thinking I might get one in Jan/Feb anyway (4-year anniversary of me getting the current one) and that might be early enough that the tariffs don't kick in.

I've been kind of looking for an excuse to buy a new laptop, but on the other hand I have mostly been looking at vendors that operate in Europe, so effects on me will be indirect.

Still, if I'm looking for an excuse, maybe I should just do it anyway :shrug:

Does anyone know the framework release cycle? Not sure if waiting trades off against much.
